Updates on the Wedding

I've been engaged almost a month now and things are more than a little hectic.

On Jan. 9, I started the most wonderful internship at Liberty Life Magazine. So far, it's all been very interesting. I've been scheduling/coordinating photo shoots, writing blogs and covering events. I've also been working on articles (just two small ones) and will soon begin helping the art director with the design of the magazine! So incredibly excited! Definitely beats some of my friends internships, however that is just my opinion ;)

I also started my last semester of classes on Jan. 17! Very, very excited to almost be finished. The combination of internship, then hr commute, class, hour commute, trying to have a social life, ride horses be able to talk to my fiancé is proving to be difficult, and it's only going to get worse.

Speaking of the fiancé, we have started planning. If I can get my stuff together, I'll be updating the blog with some wedding stuff. Not everything though, need to have a small element of surprise.

The Proposal

As many of you have already heard, Jay proposed to me on Christmas Eve :)Needless to say, we're very excited!
Since many have asked, here is a run down of how it happened:
On Christmas Eve, Jay and I met at for church. He then went back to my Nanas house to prepare for dinner and presents. I had to run to my parents and pick up some food. When I got back to Nanas, I knew something was up because his parents were there along with the rest of my family. Although we had been talking and had even been ring shopping, it still seemed like something in the distant future. After a few awkward moments, and some giggling from the Mothers, Jay looked over at me and said "Well....." There was a little speech, that of course made me cry like a baby, and then he got down on one knee :)

Obviously, I said yes.

Here is the most beautiful ring a girl could ask for

And the best guy I could dream of:

Although we haven't really started planning, we have decided to wait until April (6th or 13th) 2013 before getting married. More details to come!

Wild Ride

This Fall seems to be slipping by faster than I am prepared for. This weekend was a total blur.
Friday was the big interview.....and I GOT IT!!! So excited about all the wonderful opportunities! Here is a link to the facebook page of the magazine.

Saturday I spent the morning the barn riding my wonderful ponies. Nothing makes me happier then being around them. Mac got a little extra turn out time. This is a picture of him and Scooby, our Great Dane, running up and down the fence line, loving life.

Saturday night was my cousins wedding. It was held at the beautiful Bluff Creek Clubhouse. It was great to see everyone from around town. Since I'm in an events class, I got to bring two friends along. We were preparing a presentation on the wedding. Here is a picture of the wedding.
This photo was taken by Rebecca Cerasani Photography.

Here is a picture of my friends and I at the reception! No, I'm not that short, was squatting to "be on their level". Love them both.

Luckily for me, I didn't have  alot to do on Sunday. Crown shots were not the smartest way to keep warm. However, it was cousin Bens 19th birthday. In honor of him, here is a picture of him flyfishing this summer in Alaska!

That's all for now. Headed to Biloxi, MS tomorrow. Jay is fishing in the SKA National Fishing Tournament. And I get to gamble! Lots of pictures to follow, I'm sure.
